DESIGN OF ELECTRO-MAGNETIC VELOCITY LOG FOR NAVIGATION OF UNDERWATER VESSELS.

The navigation of any underwater vessel requires effective depth techniques using Electro-Magnetic principle to measure velocity and distance of vessel and log the data in relevance with the recorded movement. The unit is required to gather vessel’s speed and distance information in conjunction with external probes and display them locally as well as to the central data Network/repeaters. The unit should be able to operate and measure vessel speed and distance in shallow and deep waters. Probe/sensors should operate in water of varying salinity and depths up to 500m. The unit must be able to display all parameters in real time, process them and carry out necessary commands in both OPERATING and SIMULATING mode.
